Any recommendation for spraying 8 grams of ice pearl on base white??
IMPORTANT: Never mix pearl with base coat! The correct way to lay pearl is to mix it with clear coat to avoid dull spots. You can spray two three coats to make it look amazing. The only problem with putting pearl; in your clear is if you run it, you’ll get a pearl sag or run which can’t be fixed. This is because when you color sand it and flat, you’ll gonna cut the lump or sag down, but you’ll not gonna cut a concentrated drip of pearl.
If you want to give yourself a wiggle room for mistakes, put it in a binder which is a DBC 500 by PPG, It;s basically a clear base coat. Mix that up like a base coat and add your pearl in there and just spray it. You will have more control because it’s like base coat. You can dust it on, spray it a little wet and heavier and you’re good to go.
