Learn How To Repair All Body Parts – ABS Plastic Bumper Covers & Body Kits

The #BossPainter is back with today’s blog is entitled Learn How To Repair All Body Parts – ABS Plastic Bumper Covers & Body Kits.

OEM ABS Plastic bumper covers can cost a lot of money. Plastic Bumper Repair made easy!

Especially if you are working on exotics such as Ferrari, Jaguar, Mercedes and BMW. Other Asian cars such as Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Toyota etc are still pricy.

Here are a few examples for OEM pricing:

2008 Ferrari F430 Rear bumper cover cost: $3,500!

2008 Honda Accord Rear bumper cover cost: $411.00

As you can see there is a big price difference between the two. To some people $400.00 for a bumper skin is still a lot of money. So if you have splits, cracks, pushed in corners of your bumper cover why not repair it yourself for a fraction of the cost?

When repairing bumpers such as cracks or splits like the Mercedes picture at the top of this post we use a special 2 part epoxy.

Materials for this fix will only set you back about $50. which gives you 2 tubes of epoxy that will last you a full body kit mould conversion or about 5-10 bumper split repairs.

Pretty good right?

Time you ask? It should take you a few short hours to repair one bumper 2-3 hours and part of that time is waiting about 30min for your epoxy to fully cure so you can start sanding your product.
