LABAP Shop, Personal Life, Race Cars, and What You Want

Hey, it’s Tony. Thank you for checking out my video and the blog today. Let’s talk about LABAP Shop, Personal Life, Race Cars, and What You Want.

Long time no speak! This is an official update video. I know I tried doing those live streams earlier this week just testing them out. Seeing how they work and all, now I kind of, got the hang of them.

I know I haven’t been uploading videos lately. Actually, the story goes deep and I don’t know if you guys want to know or even care about my personal story and what’s been really going on behind the scenes here in my life and with work.

If you do want to know then comment below. Maybe I’ll make a separate video on all of that and give you this full scoop of what’s going on with my family and why I’ve been away in Mexico for a couple of months.

We just got back like ten days ago. I’m actually headed to Japan on July 3rd for another two and a half months.

I’m going to be away again and when we get back, I’m going to be away again. I’ve been doing a lot of travelling lately. Hence, why I haven’t been able to get a lot of projects and do new videos.

We’ve just been super, super busy here. I want to post more content more frequently for you, just because I haven’t uploaded videos, that doesn’t mean I don’t care about you.

I’ve actually uploaded thirty brand new videos to the LearnAutoBodyAndPaint members area, which is the only kind of work I did. I can’t do actual work in the shop here because I’m away.

I need some help from you guys on ideas on where you would like to see this channel move. I’m planning to reinvent the YouTube channel and just do different things with it.

There’s only so much you could do and so much you could put out to teaching auto body and paint. I think I covered a lot.

Obviously, there’s a lot more to cover, but with my mobile lifestyle, traveling a lot, it’s a little hard to continuously do that.

I do have plans of joining the BMW Car Club of America very, very soon. I’m going to enroll in automotive racing school so I can start racing at the tracks.

I don’t know if I want to use that M3 or buy another M3 series and do a whole project on that as well. I really don’t know what I’m going to be doing right now. I just want to talk to you and maybe get some feedback on some of my loyal subscribers there.

As you see we totally revamped the shop. New colors, new paint, new color schemes.

It looks really good as I matched the navy blue of the car lift that we got. Check out the new car lift in the video. It’s looking really cool.

Now, I can work on cars without getting on a creeper and having the oil pan six inches away from my nose.  We can get under and check out the suspension. It’s just so much easier to get under the car and do what you need to do.

It’s something that I’ve wanted for a long time. I could double park a car here if I want. I could work on cars with no problems going underneath it.

I can show you stuff underneath the car. The front bumper cover of the car has been painted before. You can see that it was sprayed before.

You look inside, they did a bad job in masking. See the vents in the video. You can tell with the dry spots of the clear coat that it’s been painted before. I knew that when I bought the car.

You can also see the scuff marks that I have to fix. The lift goes a lot higher than that. It could go probably another foot.

I had to remove the fan to get more clearance, but this obviously goes up. I got another foot, as you can see in the video. It goes to the top of the lift.

So, should I turn this into a race car and brand it with LearnAutoBodyAndPaint and make it look super cool? I could keep this front or put another kit on it. I don’t know what to do. What do you think?

I ordered a rear spoiler. I still have to pay it off on eBay. The back bumper cover has been painted. You can see the color difference. It’s darker than the quarter panel.

If we look underneath, we can see some bolts missing. Other than that, it looks pretty much untouched. Those are things that I can go over and teach you as well. There’s a lot of things to cover.

There’s a lot of experience that I can share with you, instead of just auto body and painting videos because we have a ton of those in the membership site.

But, I’m still going to do them. I’m not saying I won’t totally not do them anymore. I just want to change it up. I was thinking a little bit more lifestyle of what I’m doing and all of that.

I want to do them more frequently. Maybe at least three uploads a week? What do you think? Is it too much?

Ten-minute clips, five-minute clips … What do you think? Give me some feedback.

I really want to start to connect with you guys. It’s been an actual hard two and a half years with me. This gets on tangent on a personal side of things.

If you want to know comment below, but I won’t talk about if not. It doesn’t matter to me.

That’s about it. I want to actually document everything that I’m doing with the car racing. I used to race go karts when I was younger.

I have a 100cc Yamaha Go Kart that I used to race back in Hawaii. I always wanted to be a race car driver. I just love it.

I’m going to be 34 years old next month. I figured, if I don’t do it now, I’m never going to do it, so, I’m going to enroll in auto racing school and get my certificate.

This way I can start racing at the tracks. You need to pass a test with an instructor before they let you go on the tracks.

I could do the BMW and I was thinking about getting a Porsche Cayman S. I got a little bit of money to invest in this hobby and I want to document everything and show you exactly what I’m doing and how I’m doing it and really make it fun and exciting for you.

That’s just a quick update. I’m going to be releasing a couple of VIP videos of the Miata project and the Godfather Project in the next couple of weeks, so stay on the lookout for those.

This Miata Project is not completely done. I can also turn this into a drifter. I was thinking of doing that, putting some money in it and get a turbo installed.

The body is pretty much done and suspensions done. It needs a little bit of engine work. The engine is fine but doesn’t have nearly enough horsepower as it should, if we’re going to be doing drifting with it.  People love Miatas.

Now, the 2000 BMW ZM. It’s a cool race car, cool potential race car. There’s only 38,000 miles on it with a ton of horsepower. It’s a really fast car. It’s a really good candidate to start off at racing.

It’s Tony from LearnAutoBodyAndPaint. I hope you liked the new shop look. Take a look at the lift. It just looks freaking cool to look at there.

Let me know if want to know more about what’s going on behind the scenes. I’ll be happy to make a video on that and any ideas on what type of content I could put out because there’s just so much knowledge that I can give out. I think you’re going to be really blown away.

Talk soon! Cheers!

-Tony
